SJÖDIN

Bouncer appeals Sjödin verdict

Babak Jamei today followed the example set by Anna Sjödin yesterday by indicating that he too would appeal the district court verdict brought against her. Sjödin was fined for assaulting Jamei, a bouncer at Crazy Horse pub, and addressing him with terms of racial abuse.

Jamei thinks the Social Democrat youth leader got off too lightly and has informed the appeals court that he feels she should be imprisoned. He maintains that the level of violence used by Sjödin should not be underestimated.

The bouncer also wants Sjödin to pay him 16,000 kronor compensation instead of the agreed sum of 5,500 kronor.

Sjödin yesterday appealed to be freed of all charges.
