Growth in the sector stagnated in the second half of 2006, according to Almega, a support organization for service companies. The growth in the sector is up at the same level as at the top of the growth cycle in 2000.
Almega predicts that the growth will continue for the rest of the year, meaning that around 57,000 jobs will be created.
The drawback to the growth is that it is becoming harder for companies to find staff.
“The proportion of companies that claim that they have a shortage or staff has increased substantially since the first quarter of 2006,” wrote Almega in a statement.
