Tetra Pak East Africa chief Anders Lindgren said printing, lamination and slitting facilities would be upgraded at the plant, situated in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.
Lindgren said production has been restored after disruptions spurred by post-election violence in Kenya that left at least 1,500 people dead and hundreds of thousands displaced.
The factory produces around 1,000 tonnes of material monthly.
Lindgren said the Tetra Pak East Africa grew by 20 percent in 2007 owing to increased exports to Uganda and Tanzania, despite competition from local firms keen on plastic bag manufacturing.
