Pension costs for current and former directors at Sweden’s two leading banks, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken and Handelsbanken, now amount to a staggering 3.4 billion kronor, writes Svenska Dagbladet.
Heading the paper’s list of managing directors on the biggest pension deals is former Handelsbanken managing director Anders Mårtensson, who will clear a total of 225 million kronor if he lives to the of 85. At 2 million kronor, the median figure for Swedish pensioners is over a hundred times smaller.
