“He died here tonight,” Anders Bayer, press officer at Oslo University Hospital, confirmed to news agency TT.
The 25-year-old man was flown to the Norwegian hospital in an ambulance helicopter.
According to newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN), the man fell badly whilst snowboarding.
“From what his friends have told us, it was an accident. It happened in Trollparken, a section of the slopes which has some jumps,” said Linda Morell, head of the Hundfjället ski resort, to DN.
Although it had jumps, the slope in which he fell was a beginner’s slope, reported DN.
It’s unclear how the accident occurred, and representatives from Oslo University Hospital were unwilling to divulge details about the exact injuries the 25-year-old had sustained.
The accident occurred around midday on Saturday, and the 25-year-old’s relatives have been informed.
