Although a spokeswoman from Munich’s high court could not confirm this, Der Spiegel news magazine reported that they had inside information to suggest Zschäpe’s long-awaited trial would begin in spring.
In the 500-page indictment, Zschäpe is also accused of arson, founding a terrorist organisation – the National Socialist Underground (NSU) – and assisting robbery.
Four others thought have been involved with the network would also be on trial, Der Spiegel said.
The NSU is thought to have been responsible for murdering nine people of immigrant origin and one police women between 2000 and 2007.
Of the three core members, Zschäpe is the only one still alive, although recent evidence pointed towards the theory that there may be more.
