City breaks and snow holidays are the top choices of Spaniards this week, ABC newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing online travel agent Logitravel.
Excellent snow conditions and the threat of colder weather over the next few days have seen people turning away from the usual coastal hotspots.
Cold weather on the coast also means many Spanish hotels have yet to open for the summer season, said the online travel agent.
Some 46 percent of reservations for this Semana Santa, or Easter Week, are for city breaks — in Spain and in Europe.

In terms of hotel reservations, Andorra is the number one destination with Madrid and Valencia taking spots two and three.
Package holidays to the snow are up 14 percent in the wake of excellent snowfall in recent times.
Andorra is the top choice for these holidaymakers with Andalusia's Sierra Nevada nabbing second place.
The travel agent also said more people than usual were snapping up hotel and train deals this year after national rail company Renfe lowered prices for fast trains in March.
