The 35-year-old man, still recovering at the Costa Del Sol Hospital in Marbella, tweeted a reassuring message to his followers:
Thanks for all the well wishes. Overwhelmed. Gutted and confused about what happened, but thank God I'm ok. X

The doctors said "there shouldn't be any serious or permanent damage done," according to Matthew Macklin, a former rival boxer now trained by Jamie Moore in Marbella.
The Spanish police's Drugs and Organized Crime Unit is currently investigating the incident, according to local newspaper La Opinión de Málaga.
The Kinahan family could be linked to the shooting as Jamie Moore had reportedly just visited one of the sons of Christopher Kinahan — known as the Irish Godfather — before he was shot.
The Kinahan clan is infamous for allegedly managing a criminal organization in Southern Spain, dismantled in 2010.
Before he retired for medical reasons, Jamie Moore had won the 2009 European title and become a two-time British Light Middleweight Champion and Commonwealth Champion.
Over the past couple of days, dozens of friends and fans have taken to the social media to wish the popular boxer a fast recovery.
