The number of people registered at regional job offices fell by 1,025 to 149,921 last month from January and inched up 0.4 percent from the same month a year earlier, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco) said.
The jobless rate for foreigners stayed unchanged at seven percent, while the rate for Swiss citizens dropped to 2.3 percent from 2.4 percent.
Swiss accounted for 51.2 percent of registered unemployed in the country, while 48.8 percent were expats.
The canton of Neuchâtel continued to post the highest jobless rate in the country at 5.8 percent, unchanged from the previous month.
Obwalden recorded the lowest rate at 1.1 percent, up from 0.9 percent.
Unemployment remained stable in Zurich, Switzerland’s largest job market, at 3.6 percent, unchanged from January.
In Geneva, the rate advanced to 5.6 percent from 5.5 percent, while in Basel-City it dropped to four percent from 4.1 percent.
