The 21st edition of the Mégavalanche is taking place in the Alps this weekend and sees mountain bike riders descend through the Alps from an altitude of 3300 metres.
More than 2,000 participants from 32 nations are taking take part over the four day event at the famous Alpe de Huez in the French Alps.
The starting point for the descent is the highest possible point on Pic Blanc from which the riders then wheel 2,500 metres downhill to the village of Allemont.
