Google’s ‘Year in Search’ list for 2016 released on Wednesday revealed that TV horse whisperer Tamme Hanken was the sixth most searched term of the year, three places above the Ziggy Stardust artist at number nine.
TV satirist Jan Böhmermann stirred up a whirlwind of controversy with a “smear poem” he wrote about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in which he said the leader hit little girls, had sex with goats and watched child porn. A German investigation into Böhmermann at the behest of Ankara was ultimately dropped in October.
