If you attended the CSD march in Berlin last year you'll know it was wet. Very wet. But guess what? A lot of rain as well as dramatic thunder and lightning storms didn't stop a lot of people from partying while also making a political stand. The motto was: 'More of us, every vote against the right.' This picture, as well as the first picture in the article, was taken in Berlin during CSD on July 22nd, 2017.

It’s fair to say many people go all out when it comes to their costumes for marking pride in Germany. In this picture, taken in Frankfurt am Main at the CSD on July 17th, 2004, this group had their entire bodies painted in colourful hues. We're into it.

Showing suitable attitude, this pair were out to demonstrate for LGBT rights at the CSD parade wearing body armour. The demo was held on July 21st, 2001 in Frankfurt am Main.

This one made us all gooey-eyed. Under the motto: 'Rainbow of the sexes – we are all valuable', demonstrators took to the streets in Munich at the CSD on July 19th, 2014, with many holding up posters like this very sweet homemade one.
