“The high pressure system ‘Eitel’ will reach Germany by Thursday and sunny periods could spark some spring fever,” said German Weather Service (DWD) meteorologist Thomas Ruppert in a statement.
Some rain should be expected on Monday afternoon and into the evening in the northern half of the country, while mountainous areas will get a bit of snow, the DWD said. High temperatures will range between three and nine degrees.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, with some rain showers, but the skies over central and northern Germany will clear in the afternoon. Highs will reach between five degrees on the Baltic Sea coast and 12 degrees in the Emsland region.
Cloud, scattered showers and even some fog will continue into Wednesday, with temperatures reaching six degrees Celsius on the eastern Baltic coast, and 15 degrees in lower areas of the southwest.

The play between cloud, rain showers and some sunshine will continue through most of the week, while most of the country outside of mountain areas will be frost-free even at night.
Thursday will be mostly dry with temperatures up to 15 degrees Celsius across much of the country, and even up to a balmy 17 degrees south of the central mountain areas, although the north and northeast will only see highs of around 10 degrees.
