Sales rose 16.3 percent to €9.7 billion ($13.9 billion), said the French group, which makes yoghurt and Evian water.
“The growth of sales in the first half has been remarkable, especially in water” during the warm spring months, the group said in a statement.
“We have responded to strong rises in the cost of raw materials with big efforts in production and a meticulous managing of our prices.”
It confirmed its outlook for 2011, aiming to raise its adjusted sales figure by up to eight percent.
