Police suspect that the man may have been driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was discovered some hours later by municipal officers, claiming that he had been disorientated by the crash.
Spanish daily El Mundo reported that the car was a certain write-off due to the damage it had sustained.

Witnesses stated that it had been travelling at high speed and attempting to swerve around another vehicle when it had slammed into a rubbish skip, triggering the Ferrari’s airbags.
They added that the driver got out of the car in a confused state and left the scene on foot.
He has reportedly been fined and is waiting to discover if he will face further charges for motoring infractions.
