As Danes buckle down for the winter, sunny days spent lounging on the beach may seem like nothing more than a distant memory.
But the second instalment of the ‘Danish School of Happiness’ video series from Scandinavian culture website Pine Tribe is a good reminder of just how important the water is to the residents of Denmark.
Focusing on how Danes incorporate the country’s 7,313 kilometres of coastline into their daily lives, the video makes stops at Amager Strandpark and Islands Brygge to explain how, in the words of host Philip Trampe, “water still holds a very important part in Danish culture”.
