Trierweiler has clearly not forgiven Hollande for unceremoniously dumping her nearly two years ago, if her latest dig at the president is anything to go by.
The journalist and former first lady was ditched by Hollande in January 2014 after revelations in gossip magazine Closer about his secret affair with actress Julie Gayet.
And on Sunday night Trierweiler tweeted out a message to Hollande, who is still believed to be a in relationship with Gayet, albeit a very discreet one.
The message was clear and straightforward.
“I'm too sexy for my ex,” read the words on the T-shirt Trierweiler was wearing.

Naturally it caught the attention of the media and plenty of people of Twitter. It was retweeted around 1,500 times.
Later, however, Trierweiler tried to dampen down any controversy she may have caused by tweeting: “Ha la la, no panic or misunderstanding but just a joke during a dinner with girlfriends.”
Ha la la, pas d'affolement ni de mauvaise interprétation mais juste un joke au cours d'un dîner de copines #tweetprecedent #onrigole

Trierweiler hasn't exactly stayed out of the limelight since her much-publicized break-up with Hollande.
In September last year she published a kiss and tell book on her time as first woman “Thank You for This Moment” in which she criticized Hollande for his hurtful remarks towards both her and poor people.
In an interview earlier this year, Trierweiler justified her actions saying: “Why should I remain a prisoner of silence? I am free to speak and act as I see fit. Free to live my normal life like everyone else. I am liberated.”
