Enzo Vizcaino hit the headlines when a video he uploaded to YouTube went viral and attracted thousands of viewers.
The Alicante native recorded himself singing his qualifications on the Barcelona Metro after becoming frustrated with his inability to find work.
Bosses at Spanish TV channel La Sexta were so impressed with Vizcaino's creativity that they invited him for an interview – and then gave him a job.
The journalism graduate appeared on the La Sexta programme Así Nos Va where he dedicated a song to TV presenter Florentino Fernandez.
It was good enough to land him a full-time post on the production team where, according to a statement from the channel, "the programme will utilize the young man's musical talent."
Vizcaino celebrated his new role by taking to the Madrid Metro to record a new video for YouTube.
It features the lyrics: "Degree in journalism, and postgraduate diploma, at last I have been employed, on TV. I spent a lifetime studying, but I think that all of this, is thanks to a song that I sang."
