France’s meteorological service Météo France is forecasting snow will fall in the French capital on Thursday night and it might even settle on the city’s streets. If we’re lucky.
“There is a risk of snowfall, settling on the ground on Thursday evening in the north of the country,” says Météo France.
The greater Paris region of Ile-de-France, Normandy and Hauts de France region of the far north are the three regions set to get a covering of snow.
The snow could stay around until Saturday morning, forecasters say.
As for Paris, which has missed out on any decent seasonal snowfalls for the last couple of years, it should rain on Thursday until temperatures drop enough to turn the water into white powder.
Forecasters say the first snowflakes could fall at around 10pm, but it will be earlier in the far north of France.
In Normandy the weather may be a little more violent with hailstorms forecast on Thursday evening.
