The country’s ability to withstand the recent economic shocks has attracted widespread praise, most recently at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The Japan Times, Japan’s oldest English-language daily newspaper, is preparing a new in-depth report on Sweden and the Swedish business environment.
The report, which will profile a number of Swedish companies and is set to include an interview with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, is being compiled for the paper by business survey company World Eye Reports.
Andrew Schmitz, one of the team of three visiting Stockholm, told The Local: “We will present Swedish innovation as a key point in any analysis of the country’s economic growth.”
Japanese corporate success stories in Sweden will be profiled, as well as Swedish, Nordic and international companies that have reached out to the Asian markets through Japan.
“Our readers want to know where the best investment opportunities in Sweden lie and what exactly are the realities on the ground,” Schmitz said.
