The first shooting occurred at 10.17pm near Hultatorg and the second in Hedvigsborg at 11.33pm. Police are reluctant to divulge details of the attacks.
“They have no life-threatening injuries. There were initial reports of having been shot in the legs, but this is nothing that I am able to confirm,” said Staffa Dahlborg at Gothenburg police.
“The case has been handed over to the county investigation department,” he told news agency TT.
There was nothing new to report on Sunday morning and the nature of the injuries sustained by the men are as yet unconfirmed.
According to Dahlborg the investigation is being concentrated on the park between Hultatorg and Skillingsgatan as well as the Statoil petrol station between Hedvigsborg and Kronängs sports field, where the shootings occurred.
He was unwilling to confirm whether the victims were also found at these locations.
No one has yet been arrested for the attacks.
“But we have not ruled out that there could be a connection between the two incidents,” Staffan Dahlborg said.
